Andrew B. Miller, Esq.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Andy made his home in Virginia after three active-duty Navy tours. As a Surface Warfare Officer, Andy learned the importance of keeping his word, remaining calm under pressure, and pursuing excellence in all that he does. Because the legal process can be both daunting and confusing, Andy seeks to equip his clients with knowledge at every stage of representation. Related to that goal, Andy’s time at Regent University School of Law taught him the value of being both a zealous advocate who presses for every advantage and a man of integrity who will do what is right, ethical, and honorable no matter the situation.

Andy is a general civil practitioner, handling a wide range of legal matters with an emphasis in real property dispute resolution with a focus on residential and commercial landlord/tenant, property management representation, and construction litigation. Andy’s personal experiences have also made him particularly sensitive to the needs of the aging. As such, he is growing Cornerstone’s Estate Planning and Elder Law practice with a core of legal professionals equipped to serve families and meet the needs of aging members with grace, dignity and effectiveness.

Finally, Andy handles business litigation, AIA contracts, real estate/boundary controversies, personal injury, and traffic defense.

As a litigator, Andy is a problem solver—analyzing and distilling large amounts of factual and legal data to clarify options and introduce creative solutions to his clients. In the context of construction litigation, Andy takes the time necessary to properly evaluate and interpret the enforceability of provisions (in view of public policy and judicial decision-making), provide remedies, and identify strengths and weaknesses in your case. Clients often come to Andy in crisis after complex construction contracts fall apart. Andy has a track record of helping clients get things back on track and achieving fair resolutions that protect the client’s interests.

Andy engages in timely, informed, and shrewd negotiation strategies to achieve the advantage for his clients. Filing and litigating a case through trial is almost always the most expensive route. However, through effective negotiation, Andy has been able to save his clients considerable litigation costs and attorney’s fees by resolving longstanding and bitter disputes. In the realm of business litigation, Andy has been able to identify pain points of opposing parties, highlight shared goals, and introduce creative solutions without compromising his clients’ business objectives.

Most importantly, Andy’s practice is client–centered. Built on a foundation of trust and clear communication, Andy has a true relationship with those he serves. Bottom line, Andy’s mission is to ensure that you are clear on the next steps in your case.

Above anything else, Andy is a follower of Jesus Christ (the one and only Cornerstone), a husband to his beautiful wife, and a proud father of three children. When he is not working, he loves spending quality time with his wife, kids, and church family; mowing his lawn/ridding the earth of dandelions; and eating his wife’s life-changing lasagna.

By entrusting your representation to Andy, you will gain a dedicated professional, skilled practitioner, and trusted guide through the legal process.
